To take a leading role in advocating for the use of ethically sourced and sustainable hardwood timber in New Zealand. While we are proud that 75-80% of hardwood imports are currently ethically sourced, we recognize that there is still more work to be done.

Rowe McGregor - Joint Founding Director
Rowe is a visionary who has a track record of turning his dreams into reality.
His efforts as one of the first importers to bring FSC Kwila into New Zealand set a precedent that has since become the standard in the industry. However, Rowe is not content with stopping there.
As the founder and director of bbi Wood Products, he has leveraged his nearly 4 decades of industry experience to unite like-minded importers, distributors, NGOs, and government entities to establish the Ethical Hardwood project.
Rowe’s long-term vision is to visit schools to educate our youth to make more ethical timber choices so he can leave behind a planet that his daughter and future generations will be proud to call home. His unwavering commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices is a testament to his passion for creating a better future for the timber industry.
